Jim Deacon and Son

“Call my Dad for free shop at home - 870-Rugs” is the slogan that Londoners have been hearing for many years! Jim Deacon, owner of Deacon Flooring Inc, and his son James have been co-starring in commercials since James was one year old.

Deacon Flooring started as strictly a shop at home service, one that is still available making up 50% of sales. Early on, Jim realized that the demand was there for a retail space to compliment the shop at home business. Today, Deacon Flooring occupies a 5,000 square-foot showroom.

The flooring business has changed significantly in the past five years, with a new generation of vinyl flooring, the availability of more environmentally-friendly materials like bamboo, slate and cork and other trends giving consumers more options than ever before.

Peitanne Joi Deacon Born May 8 2008 hopefully will soon be joining James on the airwaves.
